The year is 1998 and an 18-year-old Black girl, is struggling to find her place in the world after the death of her mother and the absence of her father. Her only friend. Apopular but shallow girl, suddenly goes missing. The town is in an uproar, but Eden feels numb, disconnected from everything around her.

Weeks later, the girl reappears, but something is off ..

4 days now..4 days since she went missing..i cant even grieve in peace it keeps repeating in my head.

A warm evening on a Wednesday in the 1998 these days were so simple..the days I lived for the birds singing and the sun warming on skin-leaning against the gate to the school I was attending at the time waiting..waiting for her “Hey!!” yelling a girl turning to look at her, Emma, my only (friend)-not from the lack of trying though, i like being by myself even if sometimes it can get lonely by myself since a lot of the time im neither at work or school. Her blonde hair with dyed pink tips whisping in the air, her golden tan skin glowing from the sun “ oh hey emma” i smiled at her with her rapping her arm over me “ guess what i'm doing this weekend?” she giggled while poking me. Honestly, I'm not as close with Emma as many people like to think it's just her mom was once friends with my mom before she died-. Can kinda just feels like she's my friend because shes doing her mom a favor. “umm i don't know..are you going somewhere ?”” not only am i going somewhere..i got a date!” she exclaimed Practically screaming in my ear, pulling away from her shocked to hear such news. It's not like emma didn't get attention from guys i mean she got Double the amount of me, it's just she was always so damn picky with who she would she yes to- do i envy that she literally had a line up on men..maybe but i don't Ponder over it-its not like something i can control. As one of the only black girls in my small town it's not really common for the guys around here to come up to me or even when I go up to them. They usually have a type of blonde straight hair and blue eyes and..I'm clearly not that but focusing on my studies and with my job I don't really think about that type of stuff too often “really?? Who's the lucky guy ?” i giggled while opening the main door of our school for her “ thaaank you..and actually when i tell you don't get mad” she whispered looking away from me “ what? Why would I be mad “” so..basically I met him on a dating website..” i stopped dead in my tracks “what..how are you even able to make an account ? you not even 18 yet” i retorted trying to keep my cool “ come on eden it's really not that big of a deal. I've been talking to him for over 2 weeks now “” that doesnt mean anything..? W-what if he's catfishing you ” with so many words wanting to be said at once i Stutter over my words “ don't be a bitch about it, he's not! were talked on the phone before ”” how am i being a bitch about worrying about your safety? Do you know how many girls go missing from meeting people onl-”“ just shut up already it's only a date ill be fine” is she serious right now? She's serious..” I'll see you after school, later!” she yelled while running over to her other group of friends, this type of behavior is normal for her she doesnt ever listen to what i have to say. Im Her friend, she's not mine we never actually hang out-i just i guess follow her around whenever she tells me to when she's alone-she's never actually like to hang out with me. I follow her around thinking we're finally gonna get to know each other more than just a base level- but then their conveniently someone waiting there or shell around know someone there

The end of the day walking out of my classroom Dodging all the other kids as swiftly as possible hoping down the stairs, I'm really hoping that I could clear up and communicate with her the danger of meeting up with someone from online- not that i should though I'm not her parent Maybe I wasn't taking this serious enough with her. After school we would usually meet by the gas station down the street since I don't really like her friends. It's not like we have any bad blood-i just they make me super uncomfortable. They're always asking super personal questions, like how many people i've slept with, what happened to my parents or going into details about their sex life. I never understood the appeal-of one, telling people about these things, two of sex itself. When i think about it-it honestly makes me sick, i've tried telling them that they don't get it though-i understand wanting to explore your sexual Preferences and wanting to try new things out is normal for our age but i've never felt that way for anyone. “Hello!” the store Clark yelled to me opening the door of the Convenience store. Being here a lot of the time I know my way around walking straight to the back to the drinks station. Scanning over the drinks I grabbed a Gatorade for myself and a Dr Pepper for Emma. She loves them so much it's like the only thing she ever drinks “ Hey sweet thing what you got there ?” someone whispered in my ear wrapping their arms around me. Shoving the person off of me banging into the glass door in front of me to escape their hold. Turing to see that it was one of Emma's friends “ woah girl- chill it's just me “ she giggled throwing her hands up in the air seeing behind her Emma was there laughing with them “ not cool.” i utter pushing past them and paid for my drinks speeding out of the store. Making it out of the store parking lot I hear Emma screaming after me, “ Eden, wait!” I stopped dead in my tracks. I spun around throwing her drink at her hitting the ground as I walked away. Her running after me walking alongside of me ” Eden, wait-come on, it was just a little joke. If it makes you feel any better she's sor-”” I don't care. just leave me alone emma.” i said before she could finish her sentence “ don't you think you're taking this a little too seriously all she did was hug you” she said in response “ Do i really need to explain to you why im pissed off..””i guess so all she did was hug you ?! there's no harm in that you're perfectly fine your not dying are you ? …whatever do what you want “ she said then digging in her pocket grabbing a $1 “ here for the drink” she remarked after Shoving the cash into my hands jogging back over to her friends.

“Why do i need to be dying to be uncomfortable?!? “ screaming throwing a pillow across my room *ping- im outside* i texts came through..it was emma *why?* i replied back, why would she be coming over so late at night its already past 9:30 * just open the door * she typed back walking to the front door. Opening it see her with her sleepover bag “ hiii “ she cheered letting herself in “ what the hell are you doing here”” our sleepover duh!” skipping up the stairs she opens my room door throwing her stuff “ you didn't even ask if you could ..and frankly i don't want to see you right now “ i said picking her things up handing it back to her just for to throw it back “ yeah i don't wanna see your ass Either but FranKLy i wont be here long but i need you to cover for me “” what are you talking about “” ..my date.”” what…. Explain “” i'm only here because my mom would only let me spend the night at your house- i won't be here for long so don't worry "" Are you serious so you're not even here to talk about today? a-And you're still going out with that guy?!”” yes. Not that,that's any of your Business “ she scoffed pulling out makeup from her bag Coating her lashes with mascara. There isn't even any point of trying to arguing with her shes not gonna listen to me she never does..but still i dont want something happening to her grabbing my phone pulling up her mother contact before i could even type one letter she Snatches the Device for my hands “ give it back emma!”” why? So you can ruin my night my god, you're so damn annoying you know that ?”*..this is what i get for trying to be the damn hero* ” I’m just putting your safety in mind dont start Insulting me. I'm not the one who's begging to be a sex slave! ‘I yelled back not getting a response as she gets a texts “ yeah sure. Just keep your mouth shut eden im leaving.” she said grabbing her bags leaving my room Practically stumbling down the stairs..*Wait, is he picking her up?? So she sent this stranger my address?!?* “ You gave him my address??!?!” screaming after her “ let me at least see what he looks like so if something does happ-”” why so you can get off to the image of him later yeah not happening “she chuckles, not taking me Seriously- what the fuck is she talking about. Left speechless, she walked out of the house leaving me in a state of Confusion.

Hi can I get an artist father, mother, parent, caregiver, or guardian to help me with digital art? (Read more?)

This is a genuine request. I used to create digital artwork frequently and then experienced a severe depressive episode around 5 years ago. I deleted my art anywhere it existed and am getting back into it but it's so difficult to be stuck between needing to relearn the basics and my brain sort of half-doing more advanced stuff out of habit but without the knowledge to do it effectively. I really need some guidance in general, if anyone has any tips at all. I do well with visual images but I'll take anything, visual or not.

I've looked online and my brain just isn't grasping the tips. Yes, I know I won't get it immediately, but I genuinely just sit there sometimes because I don't know what to do. My hand is trying to muscle memory but doesn't actually have the memory to do it properly and it just conflicts with trying to do the basics and it doesn't work out.
